Homer's epic poems

Homer is famous for his amazing epic poems. One of which was written about Odysseus and his 7 year expedition to Troy during the Trojan War. Homer, Greece's greatest 8th century B.C. poet, wrote about heros and their great deeds. Heros like Odysseus and his wife Penelope who remained faithful during Odysseus's 7 year adventure to Troy. The heros Homer writes about were expected to strive for excellence. Homer's writings explain the ideals that were tressured by the Greek ruling class.
